Joy Freedman – Dog Behaviorist & Obedience Instructor

Joy Freedman is a Dog Behaviorist and Obedience Instructor who has been training dogs and changing the behavior in their owners throughout the Mid Atlantic since 1996!

Joy teaches individual and group classes and specializes in correcting aggression and anxiety behaviors in dogs and their owners.  Joy also owns and operates 4 Paws Pet Services, one of the oldest dog walking companies in Baltimore County/Baltimore City.

Joy had the privilege, as the only local dog behaviorist asked, to work with Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer in 2007!

She trained with the National Institute of Dog Training, is an AKC certified CGC evaluator, and a Red Cross Certified Canine First Aid and CPR Instructor. She has also serves as a member of Baltimore’s Vicious Dog Hearing Board and volunteers her time with several dog rescue groups in the Baltimore/DC area.

Joy is currently teaching continuing education classes at Anne Arundel Community College, and appears weekly on Friday afternoons at 4:00pm on Q1370 AM (Q1370.com) for the Dog Diva segment with Maynard and Shari.

Joy was named one of Baltimore’s Best Dog Trainers in Baltimore Magazine 2009. She has been featured in, and written articles for many other publications, including , The Jewish Times, Baltimore Dog Magazine, Shore Dog Magazine, Letters from CAMP Rehoboth, Style Magazine, Baltimore Magazine, and Baltimore Sun.
